Our vision is to build a communal residential `Wohngehöft´ in the centre of St-Pölten-Pottenbrunn. In the style of Hans Scharoun, we understand a residential Wohngehöft to be a building form that offers space for meeting and socialising in addition to individual residential units. We are building a community housing project in co-operative community ownership with individual residential units on the site of an existing farm.

Wienerfeld West, built in the 1960s, still offers rare qualities such as low density, bright through-apartments, and generous green spaces. Together with Sozialbau, we developed a model to make the estate attractive for young families: more diverse layouts, barrier-free access, new communal spaces, and gentle densification without losing the character of the settlement. The study resulted in a new zoning concept that protects existing qualities and allows meaningful improvements.
