ART-SPACE-SALON
INTERMEDIATE ROOM
Photos: Philippe Ruault
Garden design: Piet Oudolf
In a neo-baroque palace of the Viennese Gründerzeit
the ground floor was used as a commercial enterprise for two generations.
A small-scale structure consisting of offices and laboratories was installed, which concealed the existing large and high room structures. The first task was to uncover the original space. Carefully flushing the dark ground floor zone with light again. The inner courtyard was freed from cars and transformed into a garden, which was planted by Piet Oudolf.
Color needs light and art to illuminate the mind and stimulate the senses.
